Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how DOOD ("DOOD," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you access or use DOOD, including our website at textdood.com and related applications and services (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect information such as your email address, authentication credentials, and profile details you choose to provide. If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information from Google according to your Google account settings.

Calendar and productivity data. We collect the content you create or sync in DOOD, including events, tasks, goals, schedules, streaks, productivity scores, preferences, and settings.

AI interactions. When you use AI-assisted planning features, we process the prompts, context, and related calendar data you submit so we can generate suggestions. AI processing may involve third-party model providers.

Integration data. If you connect third-party services (such as Google Calendar, Discord, SMS, or other integrations we offer), we collect and store the data needed to operate those connections, such as OAuth tokens, linked account identifiers, phone numbers you provide for SMS reminders, and synced calendar or messaging metadata.

Payment information. Paid plans are processed by Stripe. We receive billing-related information such as subscription status, plan type, and transaction identifiers. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.

Usage and device information. We collect information about how you use the Service, including log data, IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, feature usage, and error reports. We use analytics tools such as PostHog to understand product performance and improve the Service.

Communications. If you contact us for support, beta access, or other inquiries, we collect the information you provide in those messages.

2. How we use information

We use information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • Create and manage your account and authenticate you;
  • Generate AI-assisted schedules, goals, and related suggestions;
  • Send reminders and notifications through channels you enable;
  • Sync data with integrations you authorize;
  • Process subscriptions, payments, and billing through Stripe;
  • Monitor usage, debug issues, prevent abuse, and protect security;
  • Communicate with you about the Service, updates, and support;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK users)

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process personal data on the following bases: performance of our contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service; your consent where required (for example, certain integrations or marketing); and compliance with legal obligations.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information with:

  • Service providers that help us run the Service, such as hosting, authentication (Supabase), payments (Stripe), analytics (PostHog), AI model providers, email or messaging delivery providers, and customer support tools;
  • Integration partners you choose to connect, to the extent needed to provide that integration;
  • Legal and safety recipients when we believe disclosure is required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to investigate fraud, security, or technical issues;
  • Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

5. AI and automated processing

DOOD uses automated systems, including artificial intelligence, to suggest calendar events, tasks, and goals based on your inputs. You remain responsible for reviewing suggestions before accepting them. AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete and should not be relied on as professional, medical, legal, or financial advice.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure usage, and improve the Service. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

7. Data retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When you delete data or your account through the Service, we delete or anonymize information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate backup, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International transfers

We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have data protection laws different from your jurisdiction. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal information;
  • Export or receive a copy of certain data;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing;
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • Opt out of marketing communications;
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under applicable U.S. state privacy laws (we do not sell personal information for money).

You can update much of your information in account settings, disconnect integrations, manage notifications, and delete your account or data through the Service where available. You may also contact us at doodsupport@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

If you are in the EEA or UK, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

11. SMS and messaging

If you opt in to SMS or messaging reminders, we and our messaging providers may use your phone number and message content to deliver service-related communications. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of SMS by following instructions in the messages or through account settings where available.

12. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

13. Third-party links and services

The Service may link to or integrate with third-party websites and services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one. Review the privacy policies of any third-party service you connect.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
